Back when I was working at Lenscrafters, one of the more popular selling brands of eyeglass frames was Calvin Klein Eyeglasses. I wouldn’t say that this was due mainly to popular demand but rather in Lenscrafters methods of marketing.
This brand of eyeglass frame is actually one of their more expensive frames and also too, this line of frames yields some of the top profits and highest levels of mark up.
Overall the quality of Calvin Klein Eyeglasses isn’t really all that much more than the typical Lenscrafters house brand of frames. The high price you pay is really because of the brand name and style. Now don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with Calvin Klein Eyeglasses, they are very nice frames. If you have the money to buy them, go for it! They look very nice.
However, if you are strapped for cash, don’t think that you have to purchase brand name frames to get quality. Many house brands work very well and most all optical stores such as Lenscrafters have a warranty that will cover or provide you with a discount on accidental breakage.
