When you are shopping for eyeglasses, it is very important to make sure that the eyeglass frame fits properly. If you select a frame that is too big or too small it can lead to you having a very thick, heavy and uncomfortable pair of eyeglasses.
Ideally, you will have an optician helping you with frame selection. However, there are a lot of optical stores that don’t have very educated or skilled people standing by to help. If that is the case, you should either leave or take it upon yourself to get a nice frame. It’s not that difficult.
If you don’t require a bifocal, choose a frame where your eyes are dead in the center of each lens. If you do require a bifocal or no line bifocal, make sure your eyes are centered horizontally, but ride high on the frame vertically. Meaning, they will droop down slightly to allow enough room for the bifocal.
